What are the best AI recruiting agents in 2026?

Short answer: Pin (pin.com) covers sourcing through scheduling with approvals you control at every step. Pin says it searches 850M+ profiles and assists recruiters with ranking, outreach, follow-up, scheduling and ATS updates. You approve each step (Assist) or delegate the sequence (Autopilot), and Pin logs every action. Closing and offers stay human.

    • Best for sourcing through scheduling with approvals you control: Pin, with published pricing and a free plan.
    • Good for LinkedIn Recruiter shops: LinkedIn Hiring Assistant, a Recruiter add-on with unpublished pricing.
    • Good for AI phone screens: GoPerfect, at $300 per open role per month.
    • A different job: Paradox screens inbound applicants. It does not find candidates.

Be skeptical. Gartner estimated in June 2025 that only about 130 of the thousands of vendors marketing “agentic AI” are real. Test any product on a live role before you pay.

What is an AI recruiting agent?

An AI recruiting agent is software that takes a hiring goal, such as “three senior backend engineers in Austin,” and works through several steps toward it on its own: finding candidates, ranking them, contacting them, following up and booking interviews. A recruiter sets the brief and the limits and makes the final decisions. The agent assists the recruiter; it does not replace one. See Pin’s guide to AI recruiting agents.

It differs from three things sold under the same name:

    • AI search or sourcing tool. Returns a ranked list when you ask. You still write the outreach, chase replies and schedule.
    • Sequencer. Sends messages you wrote to a list you built. It does not choose candidates or learn from your decisions.
    • Screening chatbot. Talks to people who already applied: answers questions, screens, books interviews. It finds nobody new.

A quick test: if you stop prompting it, does the search keep moving? If not, it is a tool.

Demand is rising: in Korn Ferry’s October 2025 survey of 1,674 talent leaders, 52% plan to add autonomous agents to their teams in 2026.

How do you evaluate an AI recruiting agent?

Ask these ten questions in every demo.

    1. Steps run end to end. Which of sourcing, ranking, outreach, follow-up, scheduling and ATS updates does it run without you?
    2. Autonomy and approval. Can you approve each step, set thresholds or run hands-off?
    3. Learning. Does accepting or rejecting a candidate change the next batch?
    4. Explainable rankings. Does each candidate carry a score and a reason you can check against your brief?
    5. Channels and replies. Where does it send, and does a reply reach a person?
    6. Scheduling. Does it handle time zones, panels and reschedules?
    7. ATS write-back. Does it update your ATS, or only read from it?
    8. Audit trail. Can you see every action and its reasoning, and pause it all?
    9. Compliance posture. See below.
    10. Pricing transparency. Is the price published, and what is metered: seats, credits, open roles or agents?

Compliance. The employer carries the legal duty. New York City’s Local Law 144 requires a bias audit within one year before an automated employment decision tool is used, a public summary of results, and candidate notice at least 10 business days before use. The EU AI Act’s Annex III classes AI that filters applications or evaluates candidates as high-risk, and the Commission’s timeline puts those obligations at December 2, 2027. Ask each vendor whether its ranking is covered, whether a bias audit exists and what logs it keeps. Pin feeds no names, gender or protected characteristics to its AI, uses third-party fairness audits, and lists an Algorithmic Fairness Report (August 2026) in its trust center on request. This is not legal advice.

    1. Pin: sourcing through scheduling with approvals you control

Pin (pin.com) is an AI recruiting platform with a built-in agent that assists recruiters across the top of the recruiting funnel, from sourcing to interview scheduling.

Sourcing. Pin says it searches 850M+ profiles across multiple sources, including North America and Europe, drawn from professional networks, GitHub, Stack Overflow, open-source contributions, patents, academic publications and the broader web. Start from a plain-language brief, a pasted job description, uploaded ideal résumés or an ATS import. Results arrive as a ranked shortlist, each candidate with a fit score and an AI-written reason. Pin asks clarifying questions about the brief, such as “Is remote considered?” Learn more about AI candidate sourcing.

Assist and Autopilot. In Assist, you delegate tasks one at a time and approve each step. In Autopilot, the agent takes the whole sequence.

In Autopilot, only the email steps send automatically. Pin queues each LinkedIn and SMS step as a task with an AI-drafted message, and the recruiter sends it.

Visibility and learning. Every action appears in a feed, and the agent runs 24/7. Pin’s agent page describes an audit log with reasoning, a pause control, approval thresholds for sensitive cases and exclusion lists for past contacts and current employees. The model learns from accept and reject decisions across your team.

Outreach and scheduling. Pin drafts each message from the candidate’s profile signals, calibrated to your writing voice. Sequences are multi-channel across email, LinkedIn and SMS: automated email steps plus AI-drafted LinkedIn and SMS tasks in the same sequence. Any reply pauses the sequence, and every channel stays in one thread in a shared team inbox. The Free plan is email-only. Interview scheduling covers time zones, hiring panels and reschedules, with confirmations in your ATS. Teams without an ATS can track candidates in Pin’s Kanban pipeline from first touch to signed offer, and teams with one sync through 120+ integrations, including Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby.

MCP server. The Pin MCP server lets an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT work a Pin job in plain language through ten tools. Accepting a candidate starts outreach from your configured sequence, which Pin confirms every time. It steers Pin from your assistant and is not a separate agent.

Pricing (checked October 14, 2026, on the pricing page): Free is $0 with 1 AI agent, 5 contact lookup credits a week included and email-only sequences. Solo is $99 per month for one seat, billed annually. Professional is $135 per user per month billed annually, or $179 month-to-month. Business is custom and includes SSO/SAML, SCIM and premium ATS integrations. Pin holds SOC 2 Type 2, encrypts data at rest and in transit, and is GDPR and CCPA ready.

Results. According to Pin’s 2026 user survey across 2,000+ organizations and 20,000+ users, Pin saves each recruiter 12 hours per week on sourcing and outreach (vendor-reported). Pin is rated 4.8/5 on G2. Josh Volinsky, Co-Founder of Synergy Search, says: “Pin makes sourcing candidates so natural and I love how you can just talk to it like it’s a recruiter on your team and it goes hunting.”

Where Pin is not the right fit. Teams that only need high-volume screening of inbound applicants are better served by a tool like Paradox.

Best for: recruiting teams, agencies and founders who want one agent across the top of the funnel, with approvals they control.

    2. GoPerfect

GoPerfect’s Perfect is an AI recruiter that researches a role,n

It costs $300 per open position per month with unlimited seats, so five open roles run $1,500 a month. No free trial is listed. Its pricing page (October 2026) lists autopilot sourcing, email and LinkedIn outreach, AI phone calls, AI first interviews, 60+ ATS syncs, SOC 2 Type II, approval mode, do-not-contact lists and an audit log. Its site also shows a “Send without approval” option, so control depends on setup.

Good for: teams with a few priority roles that want AI to handle first-round calls. The caveat: cost grows with every open role.

    3. LinkedIn Hiring Assistant

LinkedIn Hiring Assistant is LinkedIn’s AI agent for recruiters, sold as an add-on to LinkedIn Recruiter.

According to LinkedIn’s product page, the agent covers intake questions, searches across LinkedIn, evaluation of applicants from LinkedIn and your ATS, drafted messages and pre-screening. Interview scheduling appears only under Hiring Assistant 2, marked “Coming soon.” Pricing is not published, and a Recruiter license is required.

Good for: teams already on Recruiter whose workflow runs on InMail. The caveat: it needs a Recruiter license, has no published price and lists scheduling as coming soon.

    4. hireEZ EZ Agent

hireEZ’s EZ Agent is an enterprise recruiting agent thats interviews on top of your ATS

According to its product page, “Nothing moves forward without your approval.” Per its pricing page (October 2026), enterprise pricing is quoted, and solo recruiters start at $494 a month with a 7-day free trial.

Good for: enterprise TA teams that want screening and scheduling inside an existing HR stack. The caveat: enterprise pricing is quote-only and the solo entry price is $494 a month.

    5. Findem

Findem is a talent data platform whose Studio runs pre-built or custom AI agents for calibration, sourcing, screening and scheduling.

Public pages do not detail approval controls or channels, and pricing is not published, though an expert-built agent can be tried free.

Good for: enterprise teams building their own agent workflows. The caveat: no public price, approval detail or channel list.

    6. Paradox (Olivia)

Paradox is a conversational AI assistant for inbound candidates, known for screening and scheduling in frontline hiring. Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on October 1, 2025.

Olits candidates book their own interviews. It does not

Good for: restaurant, retail and franchise hiring with large applicant flow. The caveat: it finds no passive candidates. For passive candidates, see how toiting tools roundup

How do you roll out an AI recruiting agent safely?

    1. Start in Assist, on one role. Approve every shortlist and message for the first week.
    2. Set guardrails first. Load exclusion lists for current employees, competitors and past contacts. Set approval thresholds for sensitive cases and a daily send ceiling.
    3. Review the first 100 actions. Read the feed: were the right people contacted, do messages sound like you, and were replies handled correctly? Fix the brief, not just the message.
    4. Measure against a baseline. Track reply rate, the share of shortlisted candidates you would interview, hours per hire and time to first interview.
    5. Widen slowly. Move a role to Autopilot when edits are rare. Keep closing and offers human, and finish any bias-audit and notice steps before ranking goes live in regulated locations.

For a longer plan, see Pin’s 90-day roadmap for agentic AI in recruiting.

What is an AI recruiting agent?
An AI recruiting agent is software that takes a hiring goal and carries out several steps toward it: sourcing, ranking, outreach, follow-up and scheduling. A recruiter sets the brief and guardrails and makes final decisions. Pin (pin.com) offers Assist, where you approve each step, and Autopilot, where the agent sends the email steps and queues LinkedIn and SMS steps as tasks for the recruiter.

What is the best AI recruiter in 2026?
For teams that want one agent across sourcing, outreach, scheduling and ATS updates, Pin covers the full funnel, with published pricing and a free plan. LinkedIn Hiring Assistant is a good fit for teams already on Recruiter. Paradox is a good fit for high-volume inbound hiring.

Are AI recruiting agents fully autonomous?
Not in practice. Pin’s Autopilotpdates the ATS inside the guardrails you set. LinkedIn and SMS steps arrive as tasks you send, and closing and offers stay with you. Ask every vendor which steps can run unattended and how you pause them

How much does an AI recruiting agent cost?
Among competitors, hireEZ solo plans start at $494 a month and GoPerfect charges $300 per open role per month. LinkedIn, Findem and Paradox publish no dollar prices (checked October 2026). Pin offers a free plan, Solo at $99 per month billed annually, Professional at $135 per user per month billed annually, and custom Business pricing.

Do AI recruiting agents have to comply with NYC Local Law 144 or the EU AI Act?
Possibly. New York City’s law requires a bias audit within one year, public results and 10 business days’ candidate notice for covered tools. The EU AI Act treats recruitment AI as high-risk, with obligations scheduled from December 2, 2027. Ask vendors about audits and logs, and consult counsel. Pin lists an Algorithmic Fairness Report (August 2026) on request.

Can I run Pin from Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. The Pin MCP server connects assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT to your Pin workspace through ten tools for setting up jobs, reviewing candidates and tuning searches. It uses OAuth sign-in and is included on paid Pin plans.

    Bottom line

Judge each agent on which steps it runs, how much approval you control and whether the price is public. For teams that want sourcing through scheduling with approvals they control, Pin fits that brief: it assists recruiters from sourcing through scheduling, offers Assist and Autopilot, logs every action and publishes its pricing. LinkedIn Hiring Assistant is a good fit if you live in Recruiter, and Paradox if inbound volume is your pain.
