Most teams set up AI visibility tracking for ChatGPT, add Google, and stop there. Claude tends to come up later, usually when someone notices that half the engineers, analysts and founders they know use it every day. That instinct is sound. Claude’s audience leans towards the people who research software and services before they buy.
The numbers back it up. Similarweb put Claude at 3.3% of AI chatbot web visits in February 2026 and 9.2% in May 2026, close to three times the share in three months, while ChatGPT’s share kept falling. Those are web visits only. Usage in the Claude apps, in Claude Code and through the API does not show up in that figure, so 9.2% is a floor.
This guide compares six tools that track Claude. Peec AI comes first because it connects Claude answers to the pages behind them. The other five cover different budgets and needs.
What Is a Claude Tracking Tool?
A Claude tracking tool sends a fixed set of prompts to Claude on a schedule and records what comes back: whether your brand is named, where in the answer, how it is described, and whichds you can compare against competitors
It is not a rank tracker. Claude gives no list of ten blue links, so the useful numbers are mention rate, position inside the answer, sentiment and cited
What to Check Before You Choose
How the tool queries Claude. Some tools send your prompts to Anthropic’s API. Others drive the Claude app. The two can give different answers, because the app has its own web search behaviour and the API, queried cold, often does not. Neither is wrong. Your buyers use the app, and the API is cheaper to run at scale. What matters is that you know which one you are looking at and that it stays the same over time.
Which plan includes Claude. Claude is a premium engine for several vendors. It can sit on the entry plan, on a higher tier or on Enterprise only, and a free tier often leaves it out.
What it costs per run. Credit-based tools can charge more for Claude than for other engines. Check the credit formula before you size a plan.
Prompt volume. 50 to 150 prompts per brand is a realistic start. Fewer than 15 is mostly noise. Check how many prompts the cheaper tiers cover with Claude specifically: on credit-based tools Claude costs more per run, so the entry plan can cover far fewer Claude prompts than the headline number suggests.
Comparison Table
| # | Tool | Best for | Claude access | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Peec AI | Claude next to the other engines, with source data and recommendations | Enterprise and agency Scale | Free trial, then $95/mo. Claude on Enterprise (custom) or agency Scale ($795/mo) |
| 2 | Scrunch AI | Teams that want a published entry price and add Claude through Enterprise | Enterprise only | Core $250/mo (no Claude). Enterprise custom |
| 3 | Rankscale | Claude on every paid plan for the least money | Every paid plan | $99/mo |
| 4 | AthenaHQ | Teams that want the tool to draft follow-up work | Starter and above | Free tier, then $295/mo |
| 5 | Profound | Companies where a security review decides the purchase | Enterprise | Free 7-day trial, then Enterprise custom |
| 6 | Nightwatch | Claude next to keyword rankings you already track | Every plan | $89*/mo |
The 6 Best Claude Tracking Tools in 2026
#1 Peec AI: Claude Inside the Full Picture
Peec AI is a Berlin-based AI search analytics platform that tracks visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice across AI engines, then shows which and the agency Scale plan, tracked next to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and both Google surfaces. That makes it the pick for teams that want Claude as one engine in a wider view rather than as a stand-alone report
- Claude on Enterprise and the agency Scale plan, alongside up to 13 engines in total, including Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral
- Every cited page sorted into five groups (editorial, corporate, user-generated, reference and your own site), so you can see whether Claude skips you because nobody writes about you or because your own pages are not picked up
- A gap report naming the pages where competitors are cited and you are not
- Prioritised recommended actions built from those source gaps
- Crawl insights from server logs through eight integrations, plus crawlability checks across 40+ AI bots, to see whether AI crawlers reach your pages at all
- AI Referrals, which joins visits from AI engines to measured Google Analytics sessions instead of estimating them
- Fact-checking against facts you supply, which catches models repeating outdated pricing or positioning
- An MCP server on every plan
Best for: Teams that track Claude together with ChatGPT and Google and want to know which pages to work on, not only where they stand.
- Source classification and gap analysis turn a Claude result into a to-do list
- Unlimited users on every plan
- No per-country charge, with multi-country tracking from the Advanced plan
- Claude is only on Enterprise and the agency Scale plan, not on the standard plans. The $95, $245 and $495 plans let you choose three of six engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Naver AI)
- Enterprise pricing is on request
- Starter: $95/mo, 50 prompts
- Pro: $245/mo, 150 prompts
- Advanced: $495/mo, 350 prompts
- Enterprise: custom, billed annually, up to 13 engines including Claude
- Agency Scale: $795/mo, 65,000 credits, about 722 prompts across three engines, Claude included
- About 15% off annual billing. Free trial available
#2 Scrunch AI: Claude on Enterprise, With a Published Entry Plan
Scrunch AI tracks Claude on its Enterprise plan, alongside nine engines in total. The published Core plan at $250 a month covers four engines and leaves Claude out, so it suits teams that start with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google and Copilot and add Claude when they move to a quote.
- Nine engines on Enterprise, including Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Meta AI and Grok
- Four engines on Core (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot), without Claude
- Core includes 125 prompts, 5,000 responses a month, five site audits and five user licences
- A 7-day free trial
Best for: Teams that want a published entry price now and add Claude through an Enterprise contract later.
- Nine engines and SAML/OIDC SSO on Enterprise
- A published entry plan with five user licences
- Claude is not on the published plan, so tracking it means a sales conversation
- Higher entry price than Rankscale or Nightwatch
- Core: $250/mo, 125 prompts, 4 engines without Claude
- Enterprise: custom
#3 Rankscale: The Cheapest Way to Track Claude
Rankscale puts Claude on every paid plan from $99 a month and covers the widest engine list at that price: Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, both Google surfaces, DeepSeek and Mistral. It is credit-based, and the formula is published, which matters because Claude costs 2 credits per run, more than most engines. On Pro, 1,200 credits cover about 20 prompts run daily on Claude alone.
- Scheduling from hourly to monthly
- Unused credits roll over to a per-tier cap
- GEO site audits and Search Console and GA4 analytics
- A 7-day free trial on Pro
Best for: Small teams and agencies that want Claude and a long engine list for the least money.
- The lowest entry price with Claude included
- Full credit arithmetic is public, so you can price a plan before signing
- Pro covers only about 20 daily Claude prompts, and fewer once other engines share the credits
- SSO and SLAs sit on a custom plan
- Pro: $99/mo (1,200 credits, up to 4,800 answers, about 20 daily Claude prompts)
- Pro+: $229/mo (3,000 credits, about 50 daily Claude prompts)
- Growth: $385/mo (5,500 credits, about 90 daily Claude prompts)
- Enterprise: $780/mo (12,000 credits, about 200 daily Claude prompts)
- About 15% off annual billing
#4 AthenaHQ: Tracking Plus Drafted Follow-Up Work
AthenaHQ was built by two engineers who worked on Google Search and DeepMind. Claude is included from the Starter plan, among eleven engines. The free Essential tier does not include Claude, so it shows you the other engines first. Its optimisation agent drafts on-page and off-page recommendations, which suits teams that have the analysis but not the hands to act on it.
- Eleven engines on Starter, including Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral
- Source attribution showing which pages each engine referenced
- Unlimited seats with role-based access from Starter
- CSV export on Starter, with API access as a paid add-on
Best for: Teams short on people to write the follow-up work.
- Claude included from $295
- An agent that drafts the fix rather than only describing the gap
- Usage is credit-based and Claude costs 5 credits per response against 1 for ChatGPT or Google, so Starter covers only about 23 daily Claude prompts
- Claude is not in the free tier
- Essential: free, 300 credits, no Claude
- Starter: $295/mo, 3,600 credits (about 23 daily Claude prompts)
- Enterprise: custom
- About 17% off annual billing
#5 Profound: Claude for Security-Led Buyers
Profound is the shortest path for companies where an information security review decides the purchase. It lists SOC 2, SSO and SAML on Enterprise and raised a $96M Series C at a $1B valuation in February 2026. Claude is part of the Enterprise engine list, which runs to up to nine engines.
- Up to nine engines on Enterprise, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Claude
- Agent analytics covering AI crawler and referral behaviour
- Dedicated support with a 24-hour SLA on Enterprise
Best for: Enterprises that need a compliance posture on paper before they can buy.
- The most complete published compliance listing here
- The largest funding base in the category
- No self-serve tiers on the pricing page
- Claude sits behind a sales conversation
- Free 7-day trial
- Enterprise: custom
#6 Nightwatch: Claude Next to Your Keyword Rankings
Nightwatch is worth a look if you want Claude mentions next to the keyword rankings you already track and you are not paying for one of the large SEO suites. AI tracking is included in the plan price.
- Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews on every plan
- Citation sources and sentiment in the AI layer
- A 14-day free trial with no card
Best for: SEO teams that want one dashboard for classic rankings and Claude.
- AI tracking included, from $89*
- Claude on every plan
- Only 50 AI prompts on Starter
- Narrower AI analysis than the dedicated tools above
- Starter: $89*/mo, 50 AI prompts, Claude included
- Professional: $179*/mo, 150 AI prompts, Claude included
How to Pick
If Claude is one engine among several and you need to know what to fix, choose the tool withs, Rankscale and Nightwatch cost the least. If you have a security review to pass, start with Profound or Peec AI’s Enterprise plan. If you have no Claude coverage at all and cannot add a vendor, a few tools let you connect your own Anthropic API key, and Anthropic then bills you directly for the runs
Final Thoughts
Claude is now a real share of the AI answers your buyers read, and its answers often differ from ChatGPT’s. A single-engine number gives you false confidence in either direction. Peec AI is the strongest choice for teams that want Claude as part of a full view of sources, gaps and actions, with the caveat that Claude requires the Enterprise plan or, for agencies, the Scale plan. For the cheapest route to Claude coverage, Rankscale and Nightwatch are the practical options, though Rankscale’s entry plan covers only about 20 daily Claude prompts, against 50 AI prompts on Nightwatch’s entry plan. Whichever you choose, ask how the tool queries Claude and keep that method fixed. A tool measures. What moves the number is being on the pages Claude reads, and the best Claude tracking tools show you which ones those are.
Should I track Claude before Gemini?
No. If you can add one engine after ChatGPT, add Gemini, because its share is about three times larger. Add Claude third, and earlier if your buyers are technical.
Often not, and that is the practical reason to track it. Being named in one engine tells you little about the other.
Can I bring my own Anthropic API key?
With some tools, yes. Gauge lets you connect your own key on any plan, and Anthropic bills you directly for the runs. It is a cheap way to add Claude if your main tool does not include it.
How do I turn Claude tracking results into something I can act on?
Look forlaude names you, whiles are cited and you are not. Peec AI classifies every cited page, reports the gaps and ranks recommended actions from them, and AthenaHQ goes a step further by drafting follow-up content. Tools that stop at mention counts tell you where you stand but not what to change
